Join us on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 9:00 am-10:30 am for a Thrift Store Institute workshop. In this session, the author of Grant Writing for Dummies and Faith-Based Grants: Aligning Your Church to Receive Abundance, Dr. Beverly Browning (Dr. Bev) will teach you how to research potential grant funding by using boolean indicators and multiple keywords. She will also show you a demonstration of her grant research processes using Google and Instrumentl. You’ll also learn about grant request formats used by Harris County foundation and corporate grantmakers.

In addition, you’ll learn how to initiate an introductory conversation with potential funders to talk about your thrift store and ask if you can submit a request for funding. Dr. Bev will also share what potential funders want to see in award-winning grant requests.
