We are excited to welcome Courtney Taylor to the Alliance of Community Assistance Board of Directors!
Courtney Taylor is the Vice President and Community Development Officer for Veritex Community Bank. She is responsible for community development activities such as developing partnerships with nonprofit organizations, community giving, creating volunteer opportunities for the bank, and seeking innovative ways to impact the Greater Houston area.
As an advocate for young women, education, workforce and professional development, Courtney has embedded herself into the community. Courtney is the President of the Corporate Community Relations Council, serves on the board of the Texas City ISD Education Foundation, and the Credit Coalition. Courtney is also a current Fellow of the American Leadership Forum Class LII, a graduate of United Way’s Project Blueprint and the Houston Black Leadership Institute.
In 2019, Courtney was named a Role Model by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce and just recently was named as a Woman to Watch honoree from the Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from University of Texas at San Antonio and an MBA from Texas Woman’s University.
